BONDI JUNCTION PENTHOUSE

The motivation for the project was to improve the usability and amenity of the existing roof top terrace space, whilst also updating interior spaces and finishes.

The existing roof terrace suffers from no wind protection from winds from the north, east or south directions, inadequate sun and glare protection and minimal outdoor covered weather protected areas.

This design offers improvement to circulation and private spaces on upper level with necessary infrastructure for a usable roof terrace with outdoor BBQ and dining. The wing screen was the main innovation. Its form was discovered by undertaking view analysis, solar positions and wind studies

This design offers improvement to the circulation and private spaces on the rooftop terrace. It provides the necessary infrastructure for more efficient and useable recreational spaces with a built in BBQ and a dining area. The innovative ‘Wing’  screen is the key design feature, a result of view analysis, solar positions and wind studies.
